We are a father and son duo, both software engineers with a passion for role-playing games.
With Crucible, we aim to explore a visual and intuitive approach to creating role-playing game modules.
In Crucible, you build modules using 'nodes'. A node can represent any individual component relevant to your story, such as a creature, a place, or an event.
By grouping and connecting these nodes, you define the structure of your module. By customizing the board and its elements to match your vision, the board itself becomes a dynamic and inspiring source for your storytelling.
If you're a TTRPG enthusiast, Crucible can help you in a number of ways. The application is designed to support you from the brainstorming phase to the writing process.
As a Game Master, you can use it to design your modules, be they campaigns, world-building lore, adventures or backstories. Your modules are available for reference during your game sessions, or for sharing with your players or the whole community.
As a Player, Crucible is a great tool to create your character backstories and your adventure diaries. You can also use it to build your notes and investigation boards. All of these modules can of course be shared with anyone.
Crucible is a very young product, still in its beta testing phase. A wide range of features are planned to make it an essential creative tool for the TTRPG community.
Your feedback is crucial for shaping its future development and we hope you enjoy using Crucible as much as we do!
